Fossils Vindicated
For well over 30 years Fossils have been making sardines the staple of our expeditions and bivouacs, the research and political activists have finally come over to our way of thinking. Sardines are in ... they are not a food stock that is over fished, they do not have high concentration of heavy metals, and their low sticker price means they are the perfect recession food for an economic crisis. Do like the Fossils do, cruise down the aisle of the grocery store and avoid the cans of tuna. Sardines in oil, sardines in mustard sauce, sardines in tomato sauce, sardines in B-B-Q sauce, sardines in curry sauce ... truly this is a mountaineering staple as well as the basis for alpine haute cuisine.
PS ... Did you know that recently when Mark was cleaning out the cupboards in his kitchen he found 36 cans of sardines!
