Two well-known Japanese alpinists climbed one of the unclimbed plums of North America. The South Face of Mount Logan in the Yukon is well over 8,000 feet high. They climbed in impeccable style - three days alpine style - descended the East Ridge and did a 30 kilometer glacier trudge back to their camp. These two are no strangers to the frozen north, having already done a link-up of the Isis and Slovak Direct on Denali during a previous trip.
