Avalanche on Denali

Four Japanese climbers are presumed dead after they were caught and buried in an avalanche on Motorcycle Hill. I think this may have been the first - ever recorded - avalanche activity in that area. I have been over that 11,000' terrain 4-5 times, and while it is a pain in the ass to carry a heavy load through it, I never really considered it a particularly dangerous spot ...
