The big storm finally came …

We got about 18-20 inches of dense snow, which should make a great base for the rest of the winter. The driving is awful, and so, since the start of the storm on Friday morning I have been breaking trail, out our back pasture, to the ungroomed biathlon loop (see the trough below).  As you can imagine, it has been hard work and slow going.  But peaceful, quite scenic, and most importantly it finally feels like winter.
