Jack Roberts, an original Stonemaster, meets Simon McCartney a young Brit, in the Bar National in Chamonix. This is the story of two extreme Alaskan climbs in the late 1970s. Afterwards, Simon never climbs again and drops totally off the radar screen. Jack develops a guiding career, but the two never talked again. Jack died in 2012 after a long fall and subsequent heart attack.
Of their two climbs: many disbelieved their first ascent of the North Face of Huntington, and the other on the south face of Denali was never written up. A story of a rare friendship, climbs so extreme as to alter their life forever, and the untold tale ... finally told.
