Heading to Zermatt I am reminded of the Patrouille de Glaciers

Every other year - including this April - this classic ski mountaineering race will start out from Zermatt, head to Arolla, and on to Verbier.  It's been on my bucket list for awhile, but never found a partner, and now I am way past my prime.
