Last Chamonix Hike

On our last day for a bit of exercise, the good views, and a sense of
nostalgia I hiked for just under three hours - 3,000' - to Plan de
l'Aguille. The tea at the refugio, the solitary setting so close to a
world class resort, and the striking dissonance with the hordes
unloading from the tram were vivid reminders that with any technology
- telephfriques for instance - there is something gained but also
something lost.
