Perusing my recently unpacked mountaineering library I came across this gem, a book of essays by Galen Rowell. The book was bracketed - front and back - by two quotes from Eric Shipton's THAT UNTRAVELLED WORLD..
" I became less and less concerned with the mastery of technical difficulty, or even the ascent of individual peaks, but more and more absorbed in the problems and delights of movement over wide areas of mountain country."
