Mark and I spent the afternoon doing snow school with Tori (although I squeezed in multiple laps). Although she is a 5.11 rock climber, and expert skier, Tori has far less experience with snow climbing.
The curriculum included: snow anchors (pickets, deadman, bollard), boot axe belays (pictured below), glacier travel, and stacking tools while climbing steep ice. Needless to say, Tori is a quick study.
