Best biathlon race so far ...

In the first race of the North American Summer Biathlon Championships, Lucy had a breakout performance. She was racing in the senior women's class for the first time. In a small field filled with Olympians and women with a great deal of international experience, she acquitted herself quite well. She shot better than three Olympians, and was just beaten by a couple of seconds by anothet Olympian, and she beat one of the gals on the US Biathlon Team.

Well progress is never linear, so no doubt there will be setbacks and frustrating days ahead, but clearly she is improving and who knows how far she will go!
