Haute Route 2011

During our warmup ski, down the Mer de Glace in Chamonix we will ski right underneath one of the great north faces of the Alps! The left-hand edge is the Walker Spur climbed by Cassin in the 1930s. (Of course, on our last day we will ski right under the north face of the Matterhorn, climbed by the Schmidt brothers in the early 1930s.)
