As many of you know, I read a lot of this genre, and even consider myself something of a collector. I was reading something recently in the New York Times about authors who had famously go decades before publishing another novel after a success. James Salter was one of the authors mentioned. Which caused me to do a little retrospective work on him, as I am a big fan of SOLO FACES and the script that he wrote for Robert Redford's THE DOWNHILL RACER.
