Captures the essence of ski-bumming

While stuck in the Cosmique Hut waiting out a storm, i happened on an interview with the author published in French and English. When I took the tram back down to Cham I ordered the novel used for a penny from Amazon.com; it was waiting for me on my return to the states.

A plot vaguely based on a real life serial rapist that stalked Chamonix, this well written novel, brilliantly captures elements of the darker side of the town's culture. Who will write a novel that matches it's excellence for the climbing community that moves in as Sean, Aussie Mark, and Itchy move out at the end of the season?

Dick might be happy to know, that in one short paragraph he does a slamming summary of the Office bar in Argentiere!
