Olympic and World Championship 50k Courses

Anyone who has ever skied the Lake Placid Loppet - like I did yesterday - knows that this 1980 Olympic course is a quite challenging. Yesterday the Norwegians won the 50k World Championship in an all out sprint to the finish. The course in Falun had 1775 meters of total climbing, the standard for today. Know that this is an additional 2300' feet of climbing more than the Loppet ... these guys are serious studs!
