An Alpine Epiphany In Chamonix

What do discussions about ski-mo racing gear - TLT vs. Aliens, or Plums vs. Speed radicals - have to do with alpine climbing? In fact quite a bit, as there is a growing and very strong connection between Dynafit boots, randonee ski gear, ice climbing, and hard alpine routes. Several years ago, at the same time and place, I came to similar conclusions as Dane. Indeed we chatted about these connections while sitting out a storm in the Cosmique Hut.
