Coureur de Bois
Lucy was a brute, skiing all 160k with 9000' feet of climbing over two days in the Canadian Ski Marathon. She clearly earned her bronze Coureur de Bois award, and with it the title of "runner of the woods." The first picture is taken on the first day after only 15k at a feeding station. The second picture was taken after skiing 160k and she still looks fresh as a daisy. The third picture is from perhaps one of the toughest moments, which may be that half hour at the start, having finished waxing and waiting for the gun to go off. How did I do ... that is another story!
