Small, local, innovative, family-style, creative businesses in the
outdoor industry that actually manufacture products in a small town,
rural America are rare as hell. They may start out that way, but
pretty soon you hear the giant sucking sound of big business scooping
them up, shuttering their doors, and moving the manufacturing
overseas.
