BLAST FROM THE PAST: late 1970s “winter hike” up Mount Washington

Well, it was a January winter day, but one of the warmest on record. I was the Harvard Cabin caretaker in Huntington Ravine, and a couple of visiting college buddies and I took a quick trip up Lions Head to the summit.
